Guidelines for Strategic Initiatives Implementation Implementation Planning Parameters Four Strategic Initiatives Engaging Youth in Philanthropy
The past decade has been something of a “golden age of philanthropy†for Greater Madison, and it would be easy to take for granted the giving culture that has enriched our quality of life so greatly.
But we at AFP believe that our community’s philanthropic future is too important to leave to chance. Recently, we asked our community leaders, our kindred organizations in the local nonprofit sector, and our own members to reflect on the opportunities, challenges and the possible pathways to a bright future for philanthropy in Greater Madison.
From these conversations, we found consensus about the significant untapped giving potential in Greater Madison and a convergence of interest around four strategic initiatives that can help realize this potential for the benefit of all boats in the nonprofit sector and all people throughout our community.
We invite you to browse this section of our website to familiarize yourself with these initiatives, the vision of a philanthropic future that drives them, and the input from community partners and chapter members that informs the whole effort.
If you like what you see, we invite you to get involved in one or more of the action teams that are guiding the development of each initiative.
For more information or to volunteer with one or more of our action teams, please contact our Strategic Initiatives Chair, Howard Landsman at hlands@merr.com.
