2006 Report - Strategic Initiatives

In 2006, we began giving life to the strategic initiatives – Professional Development Program, Philanthropy Awareness Campaign, Youth in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Networking – that our chapter identified in 2005 as good ways to start pursuing our long-range goals.

I’m happy to report that we now have active teams working on the first three, serving as catalysts to bring together kindred spirits in the nonprofit community as a kind of research and development arm that designs and launches new programs that will hopefully find a receptive audience and a means for ongoing sustenance.   We expect to enjoy the fruits of their labors in 2007 and to find the energy to launch an action team for Nonprofit Networking.  For now, this report summarizes the progress we’ve made in 2006.
