Jul 12 - Director of Development and Marketing
Under the leadership of the Executive Director, the Director of Development and Marketing (DODM) is a key member of Dane County Humane Society’s (DCHS) leadership team, overseeing and directing the organization’s external relations and philanthropic efforts. Supporting the Executive Director’s strategic vision for DCHS, the DODM manages the entire development and marketing team by being responsible for the team’s performance, professional development, and retention. The DODM is responsible for managing a portfolio of 100-125 of the most capable and generous prospects and donors to the organization ($10,000+) and leading identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies with the goal of developing a well-established tradition of major, planned, and transformational giving to DCHS. The DODM will routinely report on development and marketing effectiveness to the Board of Directors and is charged with fostering a culture of philanthropy throughout the entire DCHS organization. Successful candidates will be results-driven and approach their role with a sense of donor-centeredness, mission-focus, and entrepreneurism. They will have strong communication abilities and proven leadership skills to foster a culture of accountability, strategic focus, and professional growth.
