The vibrant and talented professional development team within the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Office for Development & Alumni Relations seeks an experienced fundraising professional to fill the Senior Development Director position for the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business. The school of business has the second largest alumni base of UWM’s schools and colleges, providing a deep constituency for connection and cultivation. The Development Assistant/Office Manager is a multi-faceted position that acts as the primary administrative staff person for Friends of the Henry Vilas Zoo, primary support staff for Development efforts, and primary staff support for Friends of the Henry Vilas Zoo Board of Directors. The Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) is a non-profit environmental education organization established in 1994 to provide year-round, interactive programs which, “...teach the student to see the land, to understand what he sees, and enjoy what he understands,” in the spirit of conservationist Aldo Leopold. Driven by this mission, ALNC operates two campuses in Dane County—in Monona and Black Earth—to provide more than 50,000 visitors each year with hands-on interactive programs and exhibits. Primary programs include school field trips, summer camps, family, homeschool and scout programs, adult workshops, special events, after-school programs for economically disadvantaged youth, and high-tech educational exhibits. Additionally, ALNC facilitates Nature Net, a state-wide educational network. Through these programs, ALNC fosters admiration and respect for nature, and encourages sustainability and stewardship of the land for visitors of all ages. Jan 27 - Development and Fundraising Coordinator
This position plays a critical role on the committed team at Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center. Safe Harbor is a 510c3 non-profit that works with community partners investigating child abuse to conduct forensic interviews, facilitate team collaboration, and reduce the trauma experienced by children. The Development Coordinator position is responsible for implementing a fundraising and marketing plan including three annual fundraising events, as well as leading donor relations and corporate funding requests.
